to see the local lads kill it, but seems like he hasn't ripped for a while
(on net clips anyway) and he's lost the fire.....good way to lose some sponsors
in this current hardship of being a financed hippy who surfs...

the lines he draws on his thruster, very similar to a single fin, something I've only
really noticed Donny F master..alot of soul and tradition in his approach...
and fuck!...did anyone notice there wasn't an air reverse to be seen!

been uninspiring so photo wise, nothing to report...my garden is pumping tho, and my new green thumb helps me through the onslaught of onshore.....off to Bali next week, then to Margaret River to see my mate get hitched...boards in tow, got my fingers crossed for some off season cream...

monday saw a fun peaky 4-6ft NE swell hit our coast with winds out of the west all day....keeping a close eye on the forecast for a few days, i knew it was coming so i packed the van and headed north.
what i found was beach break setups to make any surfer lose his mind! hollow A frame peaks along
every beach i visited and not a soul in sight.....i picked a bank and surfed all day until the wettie rash on my neck bled....to be honest it was a little unnerving sitting out the back on a gloomy day with no one around...the mind starts to wander, but i figure...no one has ever been eaten by a shark in the tube right?? so i stuck to that idea and tried to spend more time in the tunnel than sitting out the back....

the absolute solitude, pure stoke and time for reflection was priceless,...good for the soul indeed....

    ..surfed today for 5 hrs!...was a beautiful morning looking out of the tube- rinsed and stoked.

i went to Melbourne on the weekend with some good friends....what a relaxed city. great people

and places...we played golf in the hail..that was a first! we ate, we drank and we had fun...

    got a few right handers yesterday, was an amazing winter morning- the type that really makes me

    glow inside and feel happy, looks like another offshore day with swell today- water is still

    warm(ish) and the banks are setup for tubes off the river mouth. why couldn't it just be Autumn

   and winter all year round!

in some solid indo stuff, and mia's work speaks for itself....amazing. their journey
is interesting and inspiring....im getting one of mia's works tattooed on me i like it that
